Description

RxAdvance Corporation needs a Full Time “Pharmacy & Therapeutics Lead Pharmacist”. In this role, you will play an essential role on our Pharmacy Team supporting all Pharmacy & Therapeutics operations including monograph development, prior authorization policy development & maintenance, therapeutic class review maintenance and coordinating RxAdvance's Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee meetings.

Deliverables: What you have to achieve
  • Partner with Pharmacy, Data Science, and Trade Relations to identify formulary change opportunities that meet member access needs and help use lowest net cost drug options
  • Manage operations of P&T Committee including: scheduling drug class reviews, reviewing new branded agents, coordinating internal/external membership, documenting P&T minutes, and preparing and organizing P&T files
  • Comply with regulatory and NCQA/URAC standards and updating P&T operations to reflect changes in these requirements.
  • Partner with analysts to communicate P&T decisions for configuration and effectuation
  • Maintaining updated formulary/P&T files for all markets and lines of business and conducting quality assurance to ensure file accuracy
  • Support annual regulatory filings related to formulary benefits desig
Qualifications
  1. Education and/or Training:
    • Pharmacy Doctorate (PharmD) required
    • Managed Care or Clinical Residency program residency preferred
    • Registered and in good standing with the Board of Registration in Pharmacy
  2. Professional Experience:
    • 1-5 years job related experience and/or training in formulary and utilization management or similarly related duties; or equivalent combination of education and job-related experience
    • Must have a regard for confidential data and adherence to corporate compliance policy
    • Expert knowledge of the principles and practices of pharmaceutical science, a working knowledge of managed care and policy development as well as working knowledge of state and federal controlled substances and related laws, rules, and regulations
  3. Licenses/Certifications:
    • Registered and in good standing with the Board of Registration in Pharmacy
  4. Specialized Skills:
    • Requires a high degree of initiative and excellent judgment to make decisions regarding clinical pharmacy issues in an extremely complex and often politically charged environment
    • Requires the skills to organize, facilitate, and manage several projects simultaneously
