Linux Systems Administrator

RxAdvance is looking for an experienced, hands-on, Linux Systems Administrator to join our growing project engineering team. You will bring a solid foundation of systems administration knowledge to share and be eager to learn from others. You will work on a variety of projects and be agile in your day-to-day approach.

Linux Systems Administrator will work collaboratively to deploy, configure and maintain RHEL/Windows based OS’s and the applications and databases running on them.

  • Implement, support, maintain, monitor and troubleshoot new applications and platforms in a complex, highly-available and geo-diverse environment
  • Hardware configurations; Virtual Server deployments
  • Application / Apache configurations
  • Load balancer / DNS setups; LDAP work
  • 5+ years of Linux Systems administration (RHEL & VMware) including Hands-on technical experience deploying and supporting MySQL and Apache
  • Ability to read, modify and create new scripts in Shell, Python, Perl or Ruby
  • Networking experience in TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTT and host-based firewalls (ipfilter/ipchains)
  • Follow and improve upon existing procedures and diligent about the importance of accurate and complete documentation
  • Bash, Perl, or Python Scripting: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Be able to work on-site in Southborough MA
Preferred Skills

Advanced understanding of firewalls and load balancers is a plus Linux Certifications are highly preferred (RHCA / RHCE)
